Senior Cyber Safety & Computer Basics
The Sun City community is invited to attend the Senior Cyber Safety & Computer Basics workshops hosted by the Maricopa County Human Services Department in partnership with local organizations. Sun City Community Safety Town Hall: Homelessness & Panhandling
Supervisor Debbie Lesko is hosting a town hall with Sheriff Jerry Sheridan and County Attorney Rachel Mitchell focused on community safety. Sun City residents have expressed concerns about homelessness in the community. Register to learn about the responsibilities that the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, the Sheriff’s Office, and the County Attorney’s Office play in addressing these issues. Q&A session at the end, event is open to Sun City residents and guests.

Sun City Posse Open House – Stop by the Sun City Posse Headquarters for an informative Open House event. Meet volunteers, tour the facility, learn about Posse services, and discover ways to get involved in supporting community safety.

Shred-A-Thon – Sun City Posse Parking Lot
Protect your personal information at our Shred-A-Thon event. Bring your sensitive documents for secure, on-site shredding. This community service helps prevent identity theft and promotes safe disposal of paperwork.

Drug Take Back Event – Sun City Posse Parking Lot
Safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications at this Drug Take Back event. This initiative helps prevent misuse and protects the environment by ensuring proper medication disposal.

The Sun City Posse is proud to host the Vitalant Community Blood Drive. This important community event will take place at the Sun City Posse Auditorium Headquarters that provides residents with an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by donating blood and helping save lives.

2026 Leadership and Team Updates
The Sun City Posse is pleased to announce its leadership and key team roles for 2026. As a dedicated 501(c)(3) volunteer community-service organization focused on enhancing the safety and quality of life for Sun City residents, our success is rooted in the commitment and service of our volunteers.
Posse Leadership
Commander — Arlene Kluizenaar
We are honored to welcome Arlene Kluizenaar as the new Commander of the Sun City Posse. Arlene will provide strategic leadership and direction for our volunteers and operations throughout the coming year.
Executive Officer — Don Erlitz
Serving as Executive Officer and second in command, Don Erlitz will work closely with the Commander to support Posse activities, operational planning, and volunteer coordination.
The Posse
The Sun City Posse sponsors community events such as our popular recycling programs and periodic seminars to keep you up to date on scams and frauds that target residents in our area. Oftentimes we partner with Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Sun City Fire Department (SCFD), or local businesses to ensure we are providing the best information or service.
Two very special events each year are the Back-to-School Supplies Drive and the Holiday Toy Drive. Both of these events are hugely successful and are conducted in collaboration with MCSO and the Sun City community.
